I LOVE STELLENBOSCH, ...Not.

I live in Stellenbosch and it is great. I live my whole life in the capital, Pretoria. I was disgruntled when that place turned black and came to be called tshwane. I mean what happened to Pretoria? Now I have a house at Stellenbosch and I love it. The locals here call it Eikeschtadt because of the pretty oak trees. I mean this town has history. The whole place is historical. For instance, some of the trees was planted by Simon van der Stel himself and it is from that great man that the town gets its name. besides simon van der stel many great men with great names come from Stellenbosch and they studied here too. Smuts, Malan, Botha, all of these presidents was educated here at this university. Calvinism is also alive and well in this town, we are true Christians here.
Our town is like a rock and it can never be changed, even if the ANC tries to take it. They tried to do it by making the university English, but the university has always been and always will be Afrikaans. Afrikaans and white. Stellenbosch really stood together when they tried to do that and because we are Christians and because Afrikaners are God’s people we won. The sons of ham will never conquer us. What they, the blacks, keep forgetting is that Stellenbosch is white and will always be white because God is white.  Our buildings in the town are white, our houses are white and our children are white. Even our coloureds are white. The coloureds that are not white and the blacks are not true stellenboschers, they come from kayamandi and cloetersvile and those other ugly places. But because we are God’s people we tolerate them. We give them jobs in our houses, we give them jobs in our gardens, they do our painting and our building and put petrol in our cars. If it was not for us I just don’t know what they would do all day. Probally just drink all day or smoke dagga. We are very nice to these people, even the drunk ones. We sometimes give them money and when we talk to them we always talk slowely so they can understand us. The one day I gave a ousie ten rand because I felt sorry for her. We are good people. But Stellenbosch is not like the Transvaal. The blacks here are not violent. They don’t hate whites like they do there. They have respect and know their place, even now that they have their shabeens they don’t kill people, the police keep a eye on them.
One day I did get a shock. I was at the spar just looking for some nice koeksisters and then I saw one of those blacks. You know those rich ones who got all the jobs from affirmative action. He had two of his children with him and they were so rude they didn’t even move out of my way. I wasn’t the only one who noticed them. Everyone was staring. You know what they are like. They will come with their money and start their spaza shops everywhere. And then when there is lots of them Jacob Zuma will change the name of our town. I saw this same thing happen in Pretoria. So I was very worried.
Later that day I telephoned Tanie Suzania Laubsher Botha. She is a very nice and very clever lady. She goes to church every Sunday and prays a lot. Some people say she is one of God’s special people and God talks to her. She is also very old. Some people joke and call her  die goie wit heks. The good white witch. I told her on the phone that I saw one of those blacks and she told me say some words over a cup of coffee while I put cremora in it. I did what she said and I now feel I can rest. I never saw another one of those blacks for two weeks now and the town is still white. By the way the words was:

Swart vandag, wit more, cremora. (black today, white tomorrow, coffee creamer)
